Nancy and I are a husband-and-wife publishing team who’ve been walking the creative road for most of our lives. We’ve written, edited, and published novels and non-fiction books alike—along with blog pages spanning the last fifteen years—and we’ve helped others do the same with their manuscripts, devotionals, blogs, and more.

We’re a small, full-service “mom and pop” publishing company that specializes in walking alongside our clients from concept to book sales. And everything in between. That includes editing, design, layout, web presence, marketing support, and book sales setup. We even offer social media management, video production, and graphic design services. Think of us as your creative toolbox with a friendly voice on the other end.

Services Glossary & Pricing

Developmental Editing

1st Editing. Work through areas needing clarification. Sentence structure, correct syntax (word usage), and story solidification.

Industry Standard Fees: $0.03 – $0.05 per word (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $0.04 per word (regardless of genre)

Line Editing

2nd Editing. Editing each sentence and line, focusing on clarity, flow, and word choice.

Industry Standard Fees: $0.02 – $0.15 per word (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $0.04 per word (regardless of genre)

Copy Editing

3rd Editing. Focuses on grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, and style across the manuscript.

Industry Standard Fees: $0.025 – $0.148 per word (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $0.04 per word (regardless of genre)

Proofreading

4th Editing. Final review. Read aloud between two editors for accuracy and polish, including proof copy editing.

Industry Standard Fees: $0.01 – $0.03 per word (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $0.02 per word (regardless of genre)

Formatting & Print Prep

Preparing the manuscript for book form: headers, titles, page numbers, and layout. May include icon development. Charged hourly due to variability.

Industry Standard Fees: $45 – $90 per hour (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $45 per hour (regardless of genre)

Fact-Checking

Ensuring factual references are accurate and consistent throughout the manuscript.

Industry Standard Fees: $46 – $55 per hour (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $45 per hour (regardless of genre)

Cover Art

Designing the cover of the book, tailored for professional presentation.

Industry Standard Fees: $45 – $85 per hour (depending on genre)
Our Fees: $45 per hour (regardless of genre)

Publishing (Add-On)

Consultation or full management of the publishing process (ebook/print). Only offered as part of a quoted package.

Industry Standard Fees: $50 – $75 per hour
Our Fees: $45 per hour (ebook or print)

Marketing/Web Design (Add-On)

Coaching in social media, Amazon ads, in-person marketing, and optional web design through our in-house designer. Only offered as part of a quoted package.
